Drawing and Painting| Masterwork Remix

Students will create a portrait of themselves, expressing a part of their identity, in a “master work” using pastels. The students will research and analyze portraits from various styles and artists. Determining what they are aesthetically drawn to. The students recreate a “master work” with themselves as the focus.

Photography I| Surrealist Landscapes

Students will use all of the skills they have learned so far in Photoshop to create a Surreal Landscape. They must create a sense of space with a minimum of five different images that are seamlessly collage together using the selection tools, image adjustments, and overall composition rules.

Photography I| Product Placement

Students will learn the selection tools by completing an in class tutorial. They will apply the knowledge they have learned in creating a two-page spread of a product layout. They will need to identify a specific product as well as an overall concept for the spread. They will be graded on their use of the selection tool, having the correct number of images, composition, and overall concept.
